Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Awards
The Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Council recognizes the contribution of nonprofit organizations as a vital economic force in Tech Valley; one that has a tremendous impact on the quality of life for all residents. In support of the NBC mission, we wish to recognize individuals and organizations for exemplary contributions to the vitality of our community. The winners will be recognized at the 2012 Nonprofit Awards Luncheon on November 16 at the Glen Sanders Mansion, Scotia.
Award Recipients:
Nonprofit Board Service Award

This award recognizes an individual or a board demonstrating effective nonprofit governance practices, exemplifying ethical voluntary leadership and creating a positive board culture that is reflective of the organization's values.
Corporate Partner Award
Century House
This award recognizes a for-profit organization that has successfully built partnerships with nonprofit organizations, demonstrating visionary leadership that has moved their organization forward as a community partner and contributed significantly to the quality of life in the Capital Region community through professional and civic activities or involvement.
Nonprofit Executive Leadership Award
Christopher Burke, Unity House of Troy, Inc.
This award recognizes a nonprofit executive whose years of service exemplify the knowledge, skills and leadership necessary for effective nonprofit management, and who has taken an active role in creating and supporting development in the Capital Region.
Nonprofit Organization Award:

Mohawk Hudson Humane Society
This award is given to an organization with 1 - 74 employees that effectively collaborates and/or partners with various sectors and/or other nonprofit organizations in the community.
Nonprofit Organization Award:
(75+ employees)
Ellis Medicine
This award is given to an organization with 75 or more employees that effectively collaborates and/or partners with various sectors and/or other nonprofit organizations in the community.
Golub Philanthropic Leader Award
Golub Corporation/Price Chopper
Honors those who inspire, challenge, and serve as models for others to become part of social change philanthropy; contribute substantially of their time, money, and vision to our region; and, demonstrate a long-standing commitment to the betterment of our community.
