Annual Dinner

The Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber's Annual Dinner is our area's premier business event of the year as we recognize long-standing community members who have contributed to the success of the area. About 1,000 business professionals, community leader and elected officials gather at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center for this black-tie event to show the strength and vibrancy of Tech Valley as we kick off another exciting year. The Chamber presents its highest honors, the Spirit of the Chamber and the Envoy Salute, at the Annual Dinner.

Breakfast with NYS Assembly Majority Leader

NYS Assembly Majority Leader Ronald Canestrari is one of the most influential local politicians at the statehouse. At this breakfast, he discusses state priorities, state budget and other topics of interest to the business community.

Bright Ideas

Bright Ideas is an information-packed half-day event that provides participants with a host of opportunities to increase their knowledge and grow their businesses. The conference features a keynote speaker with attendees also participating in two of the four workshops being offered.

Business-to-Business Exchange

These after-hours networking opportunities for current and prospective members are held throughout the year at different locations in the region. You may find yourself on a boat cruising the Hudson River, at one of the many downtown hot spots or other ideal locations for making new business connections and re-connecting with your Chamber colleagues.

Excellence in International Business Awards

The Excellence in International Trade Awards, hosted by the Tech Valley Global Business Netwrok, recognize individuals or organizations that have demonstrated success in conducting or support for international trade in Tech Valley.

Golf Day

This popular summer event is held at the picturesque Albany Country Club in Voorheesville. The event includes 18 holes of golf in a scramble format, luncheon, buffet dinner and plenty of awards and prizes; not to mention fun and networking.

Issue Forums

Held several times a year, Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber Issue Forums feature prominent local and national business leaders and elected officials who address a variety of topics of interest to Chamber members. Recent events have featured U.S. Senator Charles Schumer, Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings, U.S. Chamber Director of Congressional and Public Affairs Katie Strong, Economic Analyst Hugh Johnson and a roundtable of leaders from fast-growing businesses. Not only do these events – which attract hundreds of members – provide insights into what’s happening in our region, they also are great opportunities to make connections with other business professionals.

Maximize Your Membership

At Maximize Your Membership, you will learn how to optimize your Chamber membership and understand the positive effects it can have on your business. Members are invited to review the programs and opportunities their Chamber membership grants. On hand to answer your questions will be knowledgeable volunteers and staff.

Small Business Awards

The Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber’s Small Business Awards recognize small businesses that have a significant impact on the region. The breakfast event also features a keynote speaker who delivers a presentation on a topic that is important to business professionals.

State of Cohoes

Cohoes Mayor John McDonald annually delivers the State of the City address which is presented by the Chamber's Business Council of Cohoes. McDonald discusses the successes that the city has enjoyed, the challenges it faces and new initiatives that will be pursued in the coming year. The mayor also includes his thoughts about the impact of actions at the state and federal level and how they impact communities such as Cohoes and other local governments.

State of Colonie

Colonie Town Supervior annually delivers the State of the Town address which is presented by the Chamber's Colonie Business Council. Mahan addresses how Colonie is handling community services, taxes and business retention/attraction among other issues.

Swing and a Miss Golf Tournament

If you’ve avoided participating in golf tournaments because you’ve never played the game before or felt intimidated because you’re not a great golfer, then you need to take part in the Swing and a Miss Golf Tournament. This event, presented by the Business Council of Cohies and played at the Van Schaick Island Country Club, is designed for beginners who have always wanted to experience playing in a tournament. Have a few laughs, network, play nine holes of golf and maybe even pick up a few tips to improve your game.

Symposium on Excellence

Presented by the Chamber's Women's Business Council, the Symposium on Excellence attracts dynamic keynote speakers and workshop presenters who deliver pertinent information on a range of business topics.

Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Awards

The Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Council –– a shared initiative of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Chamber of Schenectady County –– honor successful nonprofit organizations and outstanding community-minded individuals at its annual Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Awards Luncheon.

Women of Excellence

Each year the Chamber's Women's Business Council honors women who have made significant contributions to business in the region and our communities. It is an opportunity for all of us to show our support for women in business while enjoying the recipients' inspiring stories of success and connecting (and re-connecting) with fellow Chamber members.
