Program Committee
If you're the kind of person who is eager to participate in programming and promoting the interests, themes and mission of the WBC, then the Program Committee is the place for you. As its title implies, the Program Committee is responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing the WBC's monthly topics and speakers. Working in close cooperation with the Chamber Liaison, the committee plans WBC topics and formats several months in advance.
Most of Program Committee's work occurs at the meetings, so attendance is important. There may be some minimal time spent between meetings on follow up phone calls and/or emails. As a member of Program Committee, you may be asked to act as meeting moderator. This is a wonderful way to meet other members and to make you more recognizable to the WBC membership body.Co-chair Contacts:

The Membership Committee is designed to maintain and increase the WBC membership. Membership Committee members attend all WBC and many Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber meetings to represent the WBC and network with possible new members. The Committee is dedicated to developing strategies for retaining and increasing WBC membership, including planningevents to attract new members.

Communications Committee
If you are creative and enjoy writing, editing, and graphic design, look no further – you've found the perfect committee! The WBC offers its members a quarterly newsletter, Breaking Glass. Committee members review the upcoming edition and sign up for future editorial and writing assignments for the various columns. Being on the newsletter committee is an opportunity to network and increase your
business exposure with other Chamber members by volunteering to write, edit, interview members or assist with the social marketing. Even if you don't love to write, being on the Newsletter committee gives members opportunities to interact with other members on a regular basis and helps develop and strengthen business relationships. Women of Excellence Committee
A hallmark event that epitomizes the mission and goals of the WBC, Women of Excellence awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of Women in the Capital Region. Wouldn't you love to help plan an event that recognizes outstanding professionals? Winners are selected from the following categories: Emerging Professional, Excellence in Sales, Excellence in the Professions, Excellence in
Business, Excellence in Management, and Distinguished Career. Committee members work closely with the Chamber to help with this event.
