Leadership Tech Valley – a shared initiative of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber and The Chamber of Schenectady County – strives to enhance leadership resources and shape a progressive future for Tech Valley. It offers a unique opportunity for individuals to step inside the circle of decision making and problem solving that is shaping the future of our region.

Participants become informed on the most pressing issues facing the community. Outstanding leaders from both the public and private sectors connect by joining together in dialogue about a variety of areas including: learning styles, collaborations, facilitation, servant leadership, multiculturalism and team building. These capacities play out in Tech Valley’s history, diversity, government, education and quality of life.

Leadership Tech Valley develops the capacity and commitment of people to recognize, understand and respond to their community’s trusteeship needs –– through civic education, skill building and service.

Leadership Tech Valley commences with a two-day orientation retreat in October, followed by nine monthly full-day sessions that center on such topics as: working with the media, government and politics, education, bioethics and health care, serving the community, and economic development.

Those selected to participate in Leadership Tech Valley are expected to display a high level of leadership in their respective careers and a deep commitment to the community.
