Executive Mentorship Program

Albany Colonie Chamber Podcast SeriesIn this episode of the Chamber podcast series, young professionals talk about their experiences in the mentorship program and it has helped them grow professionally. Listen >

Are you a business executive interested in mentoring a young professional? Are you a young professional interested in being mentored by a business executive?

Then join the Executive Mentorship Program of the GenNEXT Council, a workforce development initiative of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber and the Chamber of Schenectady County.

This program connects ambitious, young professionals with seasoned, high-level business executives charged with supporting them in their professional and personal development.

The logistics are simple: An executive mentor will be matched with a young professional and requested to meet with the mentee a minimum of five times during the course of the program.

Mentors are expected to share their knowledge and experiences, coach and guide their mentee, facilitate networking and provide a positive role model.

Mentees are expected to take responsibility for relationship, actively listen and ask questions, be prepared and maintain respect.
