Toastmasters Lunchtime Club
The mission of the Toastmasters Lunchtime Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Membership in the Toastmasters Lunchtime Club helps professionals learn the art of public speaking, listening and thinking – vital skills that promote success in business. Our club is open to all Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber members; those with no experience with public speaking to seasoned speakers. Members work at their own pace to achieve their personal goals while receiving help and encouragement from others.
We encourage any Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber member that is interested in Toastmasters to be a guest at one of our meetings.
Toastmasters meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Chamber’s office. The environment is professional and fosters networking and relationship-building between members.
At each meeting there are various speaking roles so members almost always play an active part. With our Mentorship Program, all new members are assigned a mentor to assist them through the first few speeches and help them get familiar with the club format and various roles.
Since our Toastmasters Club is part of an international network of clubs, we actively participate in programs such as contests and training with other clubs in our local district and beyond.
