- Just wanted to be among the first to tell you how absolutely fabulous the trip was to China. It was truly a study in contrasts – the ancient and the strikingly (within the last 15 years) new.

- Both of our tour guides – Marco in Beijing and Laura in Shanghai – were wonderful and very accommodating. The rooms were wonderful, especially the five-star Sheraton in Shanghai. We were able to see so many places and shop for some beautiful handcrafted items. It was definitely worth much, much more than what we paid.

- It was absolutely fabulous, stunning, overwhelming, incredible, awesome, and none of these words do it justice. China itself is beyond belief – I really don’t know how to explain the enormity of the experience.

- People ask: ‘How did you like China?’ and I try to conjure words vivid enough to describe how vast, ancient and variegated; how unfamiliar; and how compelling a world it is. As I unpack my impressions along with my marketplace treasures, I am newly astonished by the Ming Dynasty section of The Great Wall and The Forbidden City in Beijing; the China Sea in Shanghai; Hangzhou tea plantation; and Suzhou Lingering Garden. And astonished, too, that I was there. Each memory evokes a renewed, exotic experience that is rooted in history, understood in real time and soaring into forever.

- The Chamber trip to China was an amazing adventure of many dimensions. It introduced us to the architecture, arts, commerce and traditions of the Chinese, from before the Ming Dynasty to the 21st century. We were impressed by the care given to the logistics of this trip so that it was worry-free and fulfilling for the participants. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience a country that is quite different to our own and has become one of our major global competitors. Xie xie [thank you].

- The trip to China was wonderful! The Great Wall was the most awesome part of the trip for me although I just loved all the other sites. Another special highlight was the lunch prepared by our Chinese host in her own home. It was an isolated view into a life that most Chinese lived in Beijing in the past. And the tour guides couldn't have been more helpful. I will cherish the memory of this trip as long as I have one!

- My mother and I had a fabulous time on the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber's China 2008 trip. Our husbands were a bit reluctant to commit so we decided to go it alone. Needless to say "the husbands" are both wishing they had gone! This is a fantastic opportunity at an unbeatable price.

- This was a wonderful way to get away to a culture that I didn’t think I would ever see firsthand. The hospitality shown by our guides was great, and walking the sites that we learned about in our school days, such as the Great Wall, Ming Tomb, Forbidden City, etc., in contrast to the modern skyline of Shanghai, was just incredible. I would highly recommend everybody take advantage of this wonderful, inexpensive and eye-opening opportunity to travel to a country that holds so much history, but stands to be one of the great economic powerhouses of our lifetimes.
