Executive Dialogue
When you’re a small business owner with no board of directors, who do you turn to for advice about business plans, employment problems and marketing strategies? Executive Dialogue – sponsored by the Small Business Council – offers the opportunity to discuss these critical issues and exchange advice with peers in non-competing businesses. The group is ideal for equity owners of businesses with three or more employees.
One Executive Dialogue group meets on the third Friday while another group gets together on the first Thursday of every month. Members update the group on what’s been happening with their business since the last meeting.
It’s a chance to help everyone understand the trials, tribulations and triumphs of each individual’s business. Anyone looking for guidance from the group regarding a particular problem or opportunity can solicit input from the group.

"Executive Dialogue has really been invaluable to me because I’ve been a sole proprietor for 13 years. Long-term business planning, strategic planning all of those things have come up in our group. It’s really been a great benefit to me to have other business owners – some who have more experience, some who have different experiences – but we learn things from each other and that’s been important to me. It’s like having your own board."
