Loan Programs
By working in cooperation with regional economic development resources, the Albany Colonie Chamber strives to create and sustain an environment conducive to business expansion and growth throughout the region. The Albany Colonie Chamber’s goals are to:
- help retain and expand existing businesses within the region.
- attract new enterprises to the area.
- improve the business climate.
- increase public awareness about the benefits of doing business in Tech Valley.
- examine and strengthen the financial resources and delivery systems available to businesses.
The Chamber offers loans through its Micro Loan Programs and the Al Tech Loan Fund.
"The Chamber – if it hadn’t stepped in – Albany’s oldest store (B. Lodge) would have closed and it would have been a shame. I was able to put together a very good loan through the Chamber … and I purchased it (B. Lodge). It was a dream. If I hadn’t gotten the loan and the Chamber hadn’t stepped in and said ‘this is viable,’ Lodge’s would be gone."
